Data controller

What data I collect and why

The website has no contact form, user account or booking system. I only receive data when you write to me or call me yourself (email, phone, WhatsApp, Instagram). This is usually your name, your email address or phone number and information about your planned stay.

I use it to reply to your enquiry, prepare an offer and handle your stay (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – steps prior to entering into a contract and its performance). Data required by Spanish guest registration rules I process on the basis of a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

How long I keep data

I keep correspondence for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and the stay, and then for the period required by tax and guest registration regulations.

Who I share data with

I do not sell data. I use external providers who process data on my behalf: email (Apple iCloud), the WhatsApp messenger (Meta), website hosting (Cloudflare). Some of them may process data outside the European Economic Area on the basis of standard contractual clauses or a European Commission decision.

Cookies and technical data

The website does not use cookies or analytics tools. Fonts are loaded from the website’s own server, not from Google. The directions map comes from OpenStreetMap and sets no cookies. When it is displayed, the OpenStreetMap server receives your IP address, as any server your browser fetches content from does. The “Open in Google Maps” link takes you to Google only after you click it. The hosting server may keep technical logs (e.g. IP address) for security purposes.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to rectify it, to erase it, to restrict processing, to data portability and to object. Just write to hola@casaciclista.cc. You can also lodge a complaint with the Spanish supervisory authority: Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (www.aepd.es).
